Lemasani Safari doesn’t offer ready made packages; however, we do want to give you an ide of what a safari adventure can look like. That’s why we created our inspirations for you to browse through and get inspired.

Next part is the fun part; take all that inspiration and all those ideas and put it in our care. We will now start tailor making your  very own safari adventure and make sure it is everything you have ever dreamt of.

Multi day trips

Classic Northern Circuit

This safari will take you along the classic route of a traditional safari, letting you explore and enjoy all the wonders that the northern circuit has to offer and visiting all the northern parks

 

Day 1:

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be welcomed airport by a Lemasani representative and then transfer to Arusha and your hotel where you can relax, enjoy a lovely dinner and overnight.

Day 2:

After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up by your driver guide; your safari adventure starts here. You leave Arsuha and start to drive to Tarangire National Park – the park of baobaobs and elephants. Enjoy a full day game drive in the park with a picknicklunch with a view. Late afternoon you start driving to one of the many tented camps in and around the park where you will enjoy dinner and overnight surrounded by the sounds of wilderness.

Day 3:

After breakfast, you will start driving along small villages at the foot of The Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park where you will spend the day doing game drive. Enjoy a picknick lunch surrounded by birds and monkeys and a view of the beautiful Lake Manyara. Late afternoon you will head to the village of Karatu on the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight at one of Karatu’s many fantastic lodges.

Day 4:

After breakfast at your lodge, you will leave Karatu and start to drive to Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival in the park you will enjoy a picknicklunch and start your game drive in the park. Arriving at your tented camp in Serengeti just in time for dinner and a drink around the campfire to enjoy the breathtaking Serengeti sunset. Overnight in luxury tents overlooking the plains and falling asleep to the sounds of the wilderness.

 

Day 5:

Today you have yet another full day game drive in Serengeti; this will give you the chance to really explore all parts of what Seronera (center of Serengeti) has to offer. Big game as well as small game all come together here in a beautiful symbiosis, just ready for you to discover it. Your choice of either picknick lunch while doing game drive or back to your camp for lunch. Dinner and overnight at your choice of tented camp.

Day 6:

This morning, before the crack of dawn, you will leave your camp to go on a last game drive in Serengeti ­– to really get the most of your last morning in the park you will take your breakfast with you on the game drive. Then back to your camp for an early lunch and some rest. After lucnh you will leave majestic Serengeti and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight at one of the few lodges on the crater rim– don’t forget to enjoy the amazing view of the crater.

Day 7:

After a very early breakfast, you will start to decend down into the amazing Ngorongoro Crater – the cradle of mankind. Here you will let yourself be mezmerized by the magic and mystery of the crater on a full day game drive (max 6 hrs). Enjoy your pciknick lunch on the crater lunch site with a view of the hippo pool. In the afternoon you will leave the crater and start to drive back to Karatu on the highlands for some relaxing time followed by dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 8:

After breakfast (time depending on your flight) you will leave the lodge and drive to Kilimanjaro Airport for flight back home with a suitcase full of amazing memories or to Arusha Airport for domestic flight to your connected beach holiday to gather even more memories.

The best time for this program is

in the dry seasons – July-October and December and January but is pretty good all year around.

Day 5:

Today it’s time for a full day game drive in Mikumi National Park. This little park will have more to offer than the first impression wants to give away. You will enjoy hot lunch at your camp and as well as dinner and overnight overlooking the seemingly endless wilderness of the park.

Day 6:

Early deprture this morning, heading to Selous Game Reserve. Packed lunchboxes en route, you will reach Selous late in the afternoon. A well deserved rest and you are ready to take on the untaimed wilderness of Selous.

Day 7 and 8:

It is time to start exploring this completely wild game reserve; Selous. You will spend two full days in the reserve with both game drive and boating safari on the magnificent Rufiji River. Overnights at one of the exclusive camps of the park.

Day 9:

After breakfast you will have your last game drive en route to the gate; saying goodbye to this wonderful Selous, you will start heading back to Dar es Salaam with lunchboxes on the way. In Dar es Salaam you will transfer to the airport to board your evening flight back home or straight to your choice of beach destination to continue your adventure a bit longer.

Southern Pearls

This safari will take you to the tranqulity of the south. explore the amazing wilderness what the southern pearls have to offer in an almost private setting.

 

Day 1:

You will arrive at Dar es Salaam International Airport and board your connection flight down to Ruaha National Park. Once landed in Ruaha, you will get off the plane and find yourselves in the middle of a beautiful sceneric landscape of Ruaha. Your driver guide will welcome you and you will start your safari adventure right away; game drive en route to your camp for a hot lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. Sundowners around the campfire, dinner and overnight at one of Ruaha’s many fantastic tented camps.

Day 2 and 3:

These two days will be spent exploring every corner of this spectacular park. You will plan your days together with your guide; full day game drives with picknick lunch or doing half days of game drive to enjoy the scenery and relax at your camp the rest of the day. These days are all yours to enjoy!

Day 4:

After breakfast at your camp you will say good bye to Ruaha and proceed with lunchboxes to Mikumi. Upon arrival at your camp you will relax and have dinner and prepare for tomorrow’s adventure.

 

The best time for this program is

in the dry seasons – July-October and December and January but is pretty good all year around. However, Selous is not to recommend during the rains, roads are not good and makes it not accessable in all places.

Amazing Tanzania

Starting on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, you will work your way down and experience mora than the wildlife of this amazing country. Combining traditional game drives, encounters with the people of the local community and showing you the wonders and beauty of Tanzania, this safari will truly blow you away.

 

Day 1:

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be welcomed airport by a Lemasani representative and then transfer to Moshi and your hotel where you can relax, enjoy a lovely dinner and overnight.

Day 2:

After an early breakfast you will transfer to the village of Materuni on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro for a hike to the Matruni Waterfalls, located 2500m over sea level. On your walk through tropical rainforest and coffeee & banana plantations you will also pass through villages where the local tribe of Chagga live. Stop at one of the tree-house bars and taste their famous banana beer. At the waterfall you can cool down with a swim in the cold fresh glacier water. Walking back to the village of Materuni, you will enjoy a local lunch. After lunch and a bit of rest from the hike, you will now get a private coffee tour. See the whole process from bean to a fresh cup of coffee – harvest, roast and enjoy! Late afternoon, you will leave the foot of Kilimanjaro and drive to West Kilimanjaro and Maasai land for dinner and overnight at a Maasai run lodge in Sanya.

Day 3:

Wake up to the views of Mount Kilimanjaro and it’s younger sister Mount Meru. Today you will participate in activites with the local Maasai tribes living around the Sinya area; how about a spear thorwing contest? Or a visit Mkuru and the holy mountain Ol’Doinyo? You will have serveral choices to choose between. Lunch, dinner and overnighta t your lodge.

Day 4:

You will leave Sinya and drive through Arusha and straight to Tarangire National Park. Game drive and picknick lunch in the park upon arrival . Tarangire will mezmerize you with it’s beautiful landscape and thousands of baobaob trees and elephants. Dinner and overnight at one of the many amazing tented camps/lodges in and around the park.

Day 5:

After breakfast you will enjoy your last game drive in Tarangire up to lunch and after lunch you will leave the park and drive to the town Babati. Upon arrival you will enjoy a canoening in local canoes on Lake Babati with Mount Babati in the background. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Babati.

Day 6:

After breakfast you will leave Babati for the neighbouring town of Dareda. Here you will visit a local honey farm; after you will transfer to the next village cloesby, Katesh. On the foot of the beautiful Mount Hanang lies this small and breathtaking village. Here you will meet a family from the local tribe Datoga living in this are. You will spend the evening with the family, helping them with their everyday life. You will cook traditional food together and enjoy a meal together. Overnight in one of the Datoga tribes traditional houses.

Day 7:

Early morning departure from Katesh to Lake Manyara National Park for game drive a half day in this diverse park. Enjoy the dramatic changes from semi-tropical forest to dry woodland, monkeys to tree climbing lions and endless fields of aquatic birds. Dinner and overnight will be spent at one of the many lodges and tented camps in and around the park.

 

Day 8:

Early morning you will drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands and decent down into the Ngorongoro Crater, the cradle of mankind. Enjoy a full day game drive in this magical place. Picknick lunch will be enjoyed at the picknick site with view of the hippo pool. Dinner and overnight at one of Ngorongoro’s lodges on the crater rim with breathtking views of the crater itself.

Day 9 and 10:

Today you will start to drive to the diamond of the north, Serengeti National Park where you will spend 2 fulldays exploring this gem. You will explore all parts of what Seronera (center of Serengeti) has to offer. Big game as well as small game all come together here in a beautiful symbiosis, just ready for you to discover it. Your choice of either picknick lunch while doing game drive or back to your camp for lunch. Overnight under the star filled skies at one of central Serengeti’s luxurious tented camps.

Day 11:

After breakfast you will leave Serengeti and drive towards Lake Natron, passing several beautiful villages on the way. Picknick lunch on the way. Upon arrival you will rest, have dinner and overnight at one of Lake Natron’s tented camps.

Day 12:

3 hrs walking after breakfast down to the lake, a highly caustic lake crucial to the lesser flamingo’s– being one of the few breeding places in the world. Head back to the camp for elry lunch followed by another walk to the beautiful waterfalls. Dinner and overnight back at the camp

Day 13:

In the morning after breakfast you will say goodbye to glory of Lake Natron and drive back to Manyara for a biking safari around the lake. Back to the village for lunch followed by some well needed relaxation. Dinner and your last overnight at lodge in Manyara.

Day 14:

Depending on the time of your flight, you will leave Manyara and start heading back to Arusha Airport for domestic flights to Zanzibar Islands or Kilimanjaro International Airport (for international flights).

 

The best time for this program is

in the dry seasons – July-October and December and January but is pretty good all year around. However –hiking in Kilimanjaro and Lake Natron is not recommended during the rains; the paths get very muddy and slippery.

Day 4:

After an early breakfast, you will start to decend down into the amazing Ngorongoro Crater – the cradle of mankind. Here you will let yourself be mezmerized by the magic and mystery of the crater on a full day game drive (max 6 hrs). Enjoy your pciknick lunch on the crater lunch site with a view of the hippo pool. In the afternoon you will leave the crater and drive to the northern plains of Ngorongoro, bordering Serengeti in the south, to the area around Lake Ndutu. Sundowners around the campfire, enjoying the sunset awaiting dinner to be served, at Lake Masek Tented Camp. Overnight in luxury tents, the sounds of hyenas and lions roaring cradeling you to sleep.

Day 5 and 6:

These two days are spent on amazing off road game drives in the area around the lake. Between December and April the migration covers this whole area; if you are travelling in February/March then you might be lucky enough to see the spectacular calving – more than 8000 wildebeest are born here daily! Lunch either at the camp or as a picknick surrounded by wildebeest, zebras and gazelles. Dinner and overnight at Lake Masek Tented Camp.

Day 7:

After breakfast you will leave the camp and start driving to Karatu on the higlands with picknick lunch on the way. Some relaxing time followed by dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House.

Day 8:

After breakfast (time depending on your flight) you will leave the lodge and drive to Kilimanjaro Airport for flight back or to Arusha Airport for domestic flight to your realaxing beach holiday in the Zanzibar archipelago.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Calving of the wildebeest

This safari will show you the wonders of wildlife; witness the birth of more than 8000 wildebeest calves every day. This along with some of the bright shining stars of the northern circuit, this safari will give you a truly unique experience.

Day 1:

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be welcomed airport by a Lemasani representative and then transfer to Arusha and your hotel The African Tulip where you can relax, enjoy a lovely dinner at the Baobaob’ restaurant and overnight.

Day 2:

After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up by your driver guide; your safari adventure starts here. You leave Arsuha and start to drive to Tarangire National Park – the park of baobaobs and elephants. Enjoy a full day game drive in the park with a picknicklunch with a view. Late afternoon you start driving to Lake Burunge Tented Camp where you will enjoy dinner and overnight in luxury tents surrounded by the sounds of wilderness.

Day 3:

After breakfast, you will start driving along small villages at the foot of The Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park where you will spend the day doing game drive. Lake Manyra is famous for it’s tree climbing lions, baboons and elephants and it’s a haven for bird lovers. Enjoy a picknick lunch surrounded by birds and monkeys and a view of the beautiful Lake Manyara. Late afternoon you will head to the village of Karatu on the Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House surrounded by acres of coffe plantation.

 

The best time for this program is

in the rainy seasons in February and March if you have your heart set on seeing the calving. However, the area around Lake Ndutu is excellent also in December and January.

Mara Crossing

The Great Migration – this safari will take you to one of the most amazing spectacles of nature. Witness thousands of wildebeest cross over the Mara River, the beauty of Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Ndutu and Serengeti. This safari will take you everywhere you want to be

 

Day 1:

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be welcomed airport by a Lemasani representative and then transfer to Arusha and your hotel where you can relax, enjoy a lovely dinner and overnight.

Day 2:

After breakfast at the hotel you will be pciked up by your driver guide and start your safari adventure in Tarangire National Park – the park of 5000+ elephants and baobaobs. You will enjoy a full day game drive in this beautiful national park with picknick lunch. Dinner and overnight at your choice of the many tented camps in and around Tarangire.

Day 3:

Another full day game drive in Tarangire to make sure you are not missing a single thing this gem has to offer. Picknick lunch in the park. Late afternoon you will leave Tarangire and drive to the nearby village Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and overnight at your choice of one of the great lodges around the village.

 

Day 4:

After an early breakfast, you will start to decend down into the amazing Ngorongoro Crater – the cradle of mankind. Here you will be mezmerized by the magic and mystery of the crater on a full day game drive (max 6 hrs). Enjoy your picknick lunch on the crater picknick-site with a view of the hippo pool. In the afternoon you will leave the crater and drive to the southern plains of Serengeti, to the area around Lake Ndutu. Sundowners around the campfire, enjoying the sunset awaiting dinner to be served and overnight at one of the tented camps in the area.

Day 5:

After breakfast you start your game drive after early breakfast, driving your way through Serengeti from the southern plains to the center, Seronera. Picknick lunch in the park. Relax around the camp fire with a drink and enjoy the Serengeti sunset in Seronera at at your tented camp. Dinner and overnight, falling asleep to the sounds of the wilderness.

Day 6 and 7:

After early breakfast you leave Seronera with lunchboxes and start a full day drive (game viewing en route) across the plains to the northern part of Serengeti called Kogatende. Here you will spend 2 nights and days, enjoying game drive and watching the amazing annual spectacle of the wildebeest crossing the Mara River. Meals and overnight at your choice of lucury tented camps around the river.

Day 8:

After enjoying breakfast with a view, you will go on your last game drive in Serengeti followed by lunch at your camp. After lunch your driver guide will take you to the Kogatende airstrip for a late afternoon flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your connection flight home or an early morning flight from Kogatende straight to one of the Zanzibar Islands to continue your adventure.

The best time for this program is

between July and October when the wildebeest migrate around the Kogatende area of northern Serengeti.

One day trips

The foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro

This day trip takes you to the slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro where you will hike through the villages of the Chagga people, to the amazing waterfall of Materuni. Explore and learn and enjoy the wonders of this region.

Day tour:

You will be picked up by a Lemasani representative at your accomodation in Moshi or Arusha early morning for transfer to the village of Materuni on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Here you will leave the car and meet up with your local guide and start your hike to the amazing Materuni waterfall. On the way you will pass the traditional houses of the Chagga tribe that live up here and stop to learn about the plants, frutis and flowers that you discover along the way. If you wish, you can stop at a local Chagga tree house-bar and taste some traditional banana beer.

Arriving at the waterfall you can choose to cool down with a swim or just enjoy the breathtaking views. After some rest you start hiking back to the village to enjoy a hot local lunch.

After lunch it’s time for coffe! Learn how you go from coffe bean to cup by processing the coffe in the traditional Chagga way and enjoy the freshest cup of coffee in your life.

Late afternoon, transfer back to your accomodation in Moshi or Arusha.

This tour starts at approximately 8 am and ends between 3-5pm depending on the location of your accomodation (if it’s in Arsuha it takes a bit longer to get there and back)

The best time for this program is

anytime during the year with an exception of the wet seasons in November and May-June when the slopes can get very slippery.
